went to LSL met my son and we got the Pontoon back to his place for the winter and it was good day. Then headed to Busch to hit up a lake that is Ketch and release just to feel the fight and caught one real nice rainbow. Enough to make me feel better and headed home.

But it still isn't the Thump and didn't quite get me over the want to of hitting a dock or bank and really getting after those silver beauties!

we have actually gone ice fishing on lakes stocked with trout close by. ONe of our buddies moved from WI and he has all that ice fishing stuff and drills the holes for us. IF the cold stays for a while and ice is thick enough. which I hope it ISN"T.

Judging from the weather reports I'm thinking the ice will be on the lakes for awhile. Lakes had ice on them yesterday so it won't take much before it's solid. Went bass fishing yesterday and picked up my first and hopefully only skunk of the year.

I remember years ago putting that bucket with sand in the bottom and lit charcoal on top in the boat. Had to watch the wind. And then play heck keeping the eyelets on the pole from frezzing shut. It was definetly cold, cold. But we were young and stupid. Now I agree, stay in the recliner.

As we age we tend to pick our poison and are wiser and made better decisions. So it's get in the recliner in my lower level, turn on the heaters and put the blankie on and enjoy some bluegabe or Richard Gene and watch someone else do the ketchn.
