That slide back into the lake is a tad bit unnerving. Certainly not something you will forget
I use to post about getting ready for winter fishing. so kitty litter, ice melt, change of clothes, fire starter, kitty litter for when the boat or boats ahead of you pull out and it's pretty cold the ramp will get a skim of ice, litter or ice melt will keep you from sliding in the lake... rest is a must. be safe. Any other advice would be appreciated. especially for the nebies. or crazy Ice fishermen/women.

I fell and busted my hiney on a ramp once so I got some slip over cleats. I no longer fish in the winter but this thread made my elbow, butt and back ache again. Thanks for posting your reminder for us all.

Help out the next angler when pulling your boat out go slow and let the trailer and boat drain off. at waters edge.
Always wear a life vest at least if something bad does happen others don`t have to risk their lives finding you. This is especially true on rivers with current.
