Thread: Perseverance pays off!

Day dawned with beautiful sunrise and my son getting up early with us, WHICH IS RARE in order to have and make a hearty breakfast. Buddy Ben was still there and wanted to get him back on lake before he headed home but wind was blowing and cold. So we headed to lake but not optimistic and figured on giving it a go for while and if not biting head home.

First drop got a keeper, then another so it was on. But had to make sure we were secure as wind about blew us into lake and did my lil portable chair I yse to tie my many jigs with. Then Ben joined with a few good ones so staying fir while despite conditions that had no boats out or guys on rip rap.

Then KABOOM was on, Again and to my delight here came my son. I had showed him a couple of things and spots I like to do and he joined in the ketchn. We havnt had chance to fish together much as when he comes up it is usually to deer hunt and he let's me provide the fish for their feasts. But now I had opportunity to lay some knowledge on two grasshoppers and see them do their own ketchn.

Ended up with nice mess I had my limit and the others would have but needed to leave as it's our monthly church group dinner tonight so cut short our time. Plus all the other dudes stayed in bed or drinking coffee while we had another incredible fishing experience.

We cleaned fish, took my pics and cleaned place up. Both left with 50+ filets each so they can have own fish fries with their folks. Now my LSL neighbor is all excited about fishing the docks at our home lake. Plus my son can do the same. Great trip!
