    Default Livescope transducer pole

My father in law is getting ready to bring home a new z18. He was a nice pole for his livescope transducer. Does anyone have any recommendations. The pvc mount I made for my boat isn’t pretty enough for his.

I have a Fishing Specialties manual pole. Very neat all aluminum design and mounts to the carpeted deck so no holes on the gel coat. The plastic hardware is designed to shear if a stump is accidentally hit. handy on Truman Lake. See them at Fishing Specialties.com

I have an all aboard mount for a Fortrex he can have if you guys want it and can use it. I did not like the pole and went to the TM shaft. PM me if you want it and have a way to pick it up. Not really wanting to ship it. .

Another suggestion unless you already have is to try it on the TM shaft first. I should have and would not have never purchased the All Aboard Mount in the first place but that how I started.

Maybe others have but I've never seen one guide or one pro with the transducer mounted to anything other than the TM shaft. There's a reason, they are great at boat control.

I just mount mine on the trolling motor but the most ingenious method I’ve seen was to use the old shaft of a power drive trolling motor. When you seal the end of the shaft after removing the power head it doesn’t have any weight. Then you just use the remote to adjust the direction. Stow just like a trolling motor just on the other side.
