    Default Back to dipping docks

Stopped at my home lake to chk on toon and drop bags o crappie to my friends. While there could not resist dropping a jig or 2 to see if they were biting. Silly me they r always biting! SOME BIGGER THAN others. Caught a small mess and then had to go to my son's to drop them off and some fresh I hadn't packaged yet as his crew is ALWAYS HONGRY for a fry.

He took live ones but another buddy texted and wanted some and he had a king salmon side for me. My son will smoke that for me so change in plan and he gets the bag.

It's all good. Time to go home and take care of wifey for a while. Plus enjoy last of tomatoes from my so n with a BLT dinner.Name: 20231011_132445.jpg

Good times, good food. Hard to believe another year is gone and have to wait on garden tomatoes again.

Nice thing was as I gave him more crappie he handed me bags of fresh young deer tenderloin from last weekend's new doe season. then another of my favorite cuts off the hind quarter and some ground. Now will allow me to go thru freezer and take all last years for my daughters family who love it and are out. then my neighbors at the lake will really love getting some.

    You're a regular Meals-on-Wheels!

    Or should I say, Meals-on-Reels?

I do feel like a fish monger at times but I just love to see the smiles on folks faces when you give them bags o crappie.

Then when my son's crew is up at my place watching them take the crappie and fried taters right out of the basket because they can't wait to eat them makes me happy. they go thru a lot of crappie so I end up fishing during deer season which is fine with me.
