Maintenance trip ketchn
Came up to our country place to do some cleanup and painting. Got the ceiling in the last room done and then the lake called our name and we ran over for some midday therapy.
Caught a few worth keeping and some dinks. Kept 4. Time to get back to work.
Had elk loin with a salad with go9d tomatoes from LSL farmers market. Then back to lake hoping to ketch evening bite. We were fishing hrush off the rip rap. Did get into some better fish ended up with 6. My buddy had 4. an out of town couple were fishing with no success so we both had the same idea and offered them our ketch. Wish I had snapped a pic as that was a huge smile on his face as he told us those were gonna b on the grill tomorrow night.

when we first bought our place and started fishing t hill we couldn't ketch squat ourselves while the locals were fishing down the rip rap from us and they were. So we understand the frustration of having empty buckets. Now that we have figured things out WITH THE HELP of those same guys who I made a point of befriending and consistantly am ketchn now myself it is really satisfying that we can help others who are struggling.
