It was definitely a different bite for us. We had a few deep honey holes that produced really good or else we would of struck out. I saw quite a few fish on beds but they were super finicky

We had a tough time around the 47 as well. Most of our fish came off deeper brush and dock ends. My Son did catch a 1.7# white crappie vertically jigging a brush pile in 15 fow. Do you Ozarkers think the spawn is basically over or have they just backed out? We cleaned some that had definitely spawned. Others had eggs, but they were very pale in color.

I’m 4th of 5 generations at the 47. Had a couple houses across the coves from Dicks.

I know the bank you speak of very well. My FIL lives just around the Blue Cat cove point towards the old Johnson Brothers Marina cove. The old marina has been turned into Station 46 Convenience store, boat ramp, gasoline, and vacation rental houses. Great spot to put in on the KC side of the lake. The owners are great people. The bank you used to live n was one of my favorite jig banks for bass fishing. Sure helped when a bass club used to do their weighins from a boat dock on that bank.

I staggered home from Kejo Point more than once in high school. Doesn't seem like that long of a walk, but at 3am after doing what you do at LOZ after dark.. One heck of a trek for sure.
Yeah the Johnson Bros family had only girls and grand daughters. I don't think any of them were terribly interested in running it. My dad used to work on the gas dock when he was kid.
