    Default 3 trip day

I am very blessed to have a understanding wife who let's me go on so many adventures. Plus have a cabin in the middle of so many different lakes to fish and great friends to go with and tell me where the action is.

As great as yesterday was today was even wilder. Started off at one place where there are docks to fish but with folks already there chose to fish on the walkway to them. While they had minnows and are locals I tore up the biguns
With my jigs and Slab sauce and they just couldn't believe it as I kaught Slab after Slab. Had my limit quickly. So I called the younger guy over and told him to switch to a jig w minnow trailer and to swim that past the brush under us and he started ketchn some.

Then I went and met buddy with the funky boat and we went back to pit where we tore them up last week. But he couldn't get minnows and was forced to use jigs. We didn't get as much action as previously but got good quality till as we headed back I wanted to hit one piece of brush right before ramp and KABOOM it was on and crazy action. Not on the brush but out in open water away from it. One big one after another I caught as Charlie had both his rods with no jigs. I handed him my spare and he simply dipped it in water and kABOOM He joined in the frenzy. We ended up with 11 in 10 minutes and then it was over.

He left taking the 22 we had caught and I cleaned the morning ketch and did maintenance around place.

I then went down to another spot to check on the action before dark and see if the spawn had commenced. Only couple folks there w one guy doing nothing on dock but guy on shore whacking them good w bobber jig and 3 foot of line out. I hit a spot I know well and so does lots others and proceeded to get into one after another, again! Then moved to a place hardly anyone fishes short distance away just to make sure they were still there right on bank in foot of water in short reeds and KABOOM was on yet again. Had another buddy coming in morning so now I was ready for him. Released all these.

What a day when you can go to so many places that are short drives away and feel the thump in all of them. As I said I am truly blessed.Name: 20230411_164922.jpg

BTW went back to the first docks and the guys I showed how to get them had a basket full and were very grateful for the tips. even got them over their minnow addiction as they caught those with jigs.
