    Default Fellows Lake Springfield

Howdy everyone, does anyone here fish fellows lake much? I live right next to it and bought a boat last night that I can finally fish that lake with. I was just looking for some ideas as to where would be a good place to start looking for crappie. Any help is appreciated.

Well, neither one of those threads sound encouraging. I know my grandpa used to fish fellows with quite a bit of luck, unfortunately I can't ask him anymore.

This time of year I would go toward the eastern area before you get to the county road. The vegetation on the left (flat side) of the lake can hold big numbers this time of year. Strolling or casting just above the tops of the vegetation can be really good.

I have fished it some. I unfortunately don't have a boat to use there. I been fishing at the causeway from the bank. A bit of action, not much. Most are good eaters around 10" to 12". I am told most of the larger ones come from the south arm accross the lake from the marina. I don't know this for fact as a boat is needed. Just what I've been told by others over the years. Good luck, I wish you the best.
I'm there when that black f150 is their with a red shell on back. Can't miss the Crappie.com sticker on the back shell glass..LOL. Stop by and say howdy...
