That's a nice fish
I finally caught myself one over 3 lbs. I was fishing a kayak bass tournament last weekend and it turned in to a crappie trip mid morning. Was casting to what I thought were bass on isolated pieces of brush and single trees that were not visible with out the LiveScope. This one came off of an about a 4’ tree with a 45 degree bend in it about 2’ off the bottom. It had 3 others with it and one was significantly larger than the others. Of coarse that one didn’t have a chance as this one came from the bottom and smoked my spinnerbait before it even got to the tree. I marked around 20 or more fish of this size that morning on random little pieces of brush a 1/4 mile from any visible trees. I wasted all afternoon in the timber catching solid 11 1/2”-14” fish. But never marked another big fish. Guess I’m going back and do some open water scoping with some actual crappie tackle and baits to try to find some more. Hope to make it to camp to see everyone.
