So late yesterday I decided to haul the boat out. I started my search in 20+ down to 8 FOW. The sweet spot was 12-14 FOW between or just off structure. In just over an hour I put more than 20 fish over the rail, one that was 1.25 lbs, five that were .66-.78 pounds and a handful more that were 10-10.5". A lot of them were 9-9.5" outside of those I listed above. A lot of your niners were hanging on trees in large groups and the larger fish were between trees or out in open water. I had a great time soaking up some sun and having fun. I grabbed these random three out of the livewell for a picture. I tossed all of them back, I decided it was too late to drag them home and clean them. I was a nice day until the wind picked up. I was using a pink 1/8 oz wiggler head with a grey and orange body and also a purple and orange body all from Just Another Crappie Bait company. The fish absolutely hammered these wigglers! In some cases I watched them swim from 3-4 feet away to smash them! Yes it was cold, but tolerable until the wind told me "You, go home now!"
