The best time to go is when the surface temp is about 60 degrees so you might be a bit early. Bucksaw is hard to beat in my opinion, but it's been a few years since I've been there.
After reading all of the recommendation for Truman over Mark Twain, I’m planing a trip for April 14 thru 17 if I can find lodging. I’m not familiar with area, only there once years ago Bass fishing. No RV, so Hotel/Motel or cabin. Also, what arm, area of the lake would be most productive at that time. I’m not looking for any honey holes, I’ll put in the work, that’s what this trip will be mostly, but a few fish won’t hurt either.
I look forward to, and appreciate your input.
Thanks!

I’d like to go to the Spring Camp (I’m sorry if that’s the wrong name), but my SIL and my schedule only mesh on these dates. Bucksaw get together is the first part of May, so I’m sure the schedule coincides with a good time to be there, but i just can’t get it to work out. Hopefully next year. But for now, we’re going to try it, and I appreciate the Bucksaw input! Now I just need to find a place to stay.

I am not sure who runs the Missouri Tourism but they really suck, trying to find information for lodging etc around Truman is like finding a needle in a haystack.

Look up Just Another Nightly Renal on Facebook. It is a veteran owned BnB not far from many ramps. The owner is the owner of Just Another Crappie Bait Company and it is located a 3.5 miles from the Osage Marina, 8.5 miles from Shawnee Bend Recreation Area/Ramp, 5.6 miles from Bledso Ferry, 4.2 from Drake Harbor, 11 miles from Truman State Park Marina, 10 miles from Long Shoal Marina and 23 miles from Bucksaw Marina. There are plenty of places to fish from any of those locations that time of year. More to come!
Thanks to everyone’s responses! I’ll do some calling around and see if some of these places have some availability.

We rent a 5th wheel set up at our campground. We're between Tebo and Grand arms and close to restaurants in town.
I'll be beating up Tebo at that same time your here. If I find em, I'll put you on em.
I did not know this. I will share this with others.
