Thread: Not watching grandkids

So I was able to go fishing, finally. Been so long since I felt thump hands were shaking. NEEDED A FIX BAD!

New buddy from Raquetball wanted to get away, mostly a green carp chaser but want3d to fish w me so it was on the rocks left his boat behind. Figured we could get them .

Before he came went out early with my good crappie buddy and we picked up 10 in an hour or so at daybreak. He had some brush out so we went to his pit and it was slow.

Then Steve Came in afternoon and it was steady for couple hours. I got 11 to finish my limit and he caught 4 good ones.

Next morning went back fishing around brush at 10 fow with blk/chartreuse 1/64th jigs. Fish were steady and we ended up w 15. But after 9 they shut off. Several guys came next to us caught a few only 1 keeper. U snooze u lose that morning.

Side note guy was fishing next to us about same amount of time only caught 5 but he was using minnows w bobber and 5 foot deep. We were tight lining w jigs and nibbles and fished just off bottom.

Had good fish fry at my place he really enjoyed FRESH filets. Sent him home with big mess for him and jig wife for Wednesday night dinner and lunch next day.

One of guys who came late was my mark twain buddy only caught 1 so I sent him home with several bags for his family.

Only downside to trip is finally found Sam Heaton super sensitive 7 fool light action rod and caught crappie w it andvreally liked it and on one of last fish it broke!

really liked that rod and will take it back or call bnm but if nothing done have went thru youtube and have good idea I can fix it.
