Default Then the Big Bad Wind Came

I planned some fishing around a trip to Angler's Port Marine. I think we got on the water by 10:30 or 11am. "Tell Anthony to take the wind back to Knob Noster" was shouted over from Jeff via Jake. I tell you, the weather people were so off!

Amy and I chase a few big attacks around. Just as Jake was leaving we found three trees where we pulled 80% of our catch in. We had to we thru the dinks, but we were catching fish. Amy doesn't scope but managed 7 keepers and lost a track at the surface. We took a quick break around 2pm to grab jackets. By then I was sitting at 9 fish.

Shortly after we headed out I found another tree stacked with 10" and up and they were hungry! In 5 mins I had the other 6 in the LW. I tried to convince Amy to finish her limit there. "My fun meter was pegged at 2pm" was the response I got. So, we left with her 7 and my limit.

Wind blew and brought the cold. I fought the TM and finally tied off to a tree.

The girls grabbed some whoppers right off the bat but as the wind picked up, the crappies stopped biting. Flying blind, I thought they moved on. I marked plenty in the adjacent channel but they wouldn't bite for the spider rigs either. The girls said they had enough fun and after 3 days in the wind, I had too.
I was excited for this first picture, but then Jeff and Anthony have new trucks (What's missin Slab? ).

Was fun till the wind got in there! Seemed like it was at just the right speed and angle to make staying in position miserable. Still had fun good to see Jake and Anthony again. Thanks for a fun day Jeff.
