I have materials to build 4 stake beds. How did you decide where you would sink them? I have a couple ideas near the ramp I launch from, but I'm open to input.

I look for deep water, 20 to 30 ft then circle to find the rise, drop the brush halfway up the rise. also, a friend and I dumped some trees on a flat between couple small coves, 15 ft of water, put some by old foundations, and if you find a good brush pile, go about two boat lengths from it and drop a small to medium tree. the bigger fish will hang out there, they are lazy and don't want to fight the small aggressive fish.

This explains the larger fish I've seen and caught off solo spots. I appreciate your response.
