    Default Tight lipped crappie 11/06

Amy and I headed out to several spots around Sparrowfoot. Even at a couple of my favorite stake beds, and another hot spot I shared with another CDC member were SLOOOOOOW! I managed a nice 2.5 white bass off a tree. The only other fish caught in 3.5 hours was a dink crappie. The best part, the weather was outstanding! Lots of fish on the graph with NO takers. I did get a couple of strikes with nibbles, but I didn't bring minnows. Maybe this is more of an option this time of year?

I took minnows way up Tebo Creek Sunday. Found a deep pocket and kept 4 nice ones.
It was a beautiful day for sure but definitely a slow bite.

A coworker said he was up in Tebo by Point 2 and caught 2 limits after 7:30am. I was going to head to Long Shoal and hit a couple of brush piles I found. I decided on Sparrowfoot because I had a tool I needed to deliver to a guy in that area. I'm sure the weather pattern drives them nuts. I don't care, it was nice out and I got to drive the boat again. A few more minutes off my 8 hours before being able to run wide open more than 5 minutes. Not that I really run wide open, but I like having the option.
