Sounds like an awesome fish. I photo would help with the weight. I had a 16.5" crappie that weighed 2 pounds 14 ounces. It was on the skinny side and not filled out
Just got back to Wisconsin to night (Sunday) after nine days at Truman for the very first time.
As many know this past week on Truman has been hell cold, rainy, windy, and water rising over 7 feet in the course of few days. Really only got to fish about 3 days fighting wind and fast rising water. Saturday was the nicest of all the days I was there. We kept a few eaters nothing fancy did manage one Crappie that was 15 3/4 pre spawn female my scale doesn't weight at these smaller weights. Any one want to garner a guess with just a ball park?
Want to send a out a THANK YOU to guys at Crappie camp and especially Jeff as we hooked up one evening in my boat for some fishing. We were hoping to get out in Jeff`s boat and maybe so some spider rigging, as I have never done that before but weather was not in the cards.
I will get a pic up later as that 15 3/4 was my biggest Crappie to date, so even with the crudy weather the trip was a semi success, as my hope was to get close to 3 lbs or better..

The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
Sounds like a super nice fish. Sorry the weather didn’t cooperate for you.
