Default Too cold to turkey hunt

So worked a to because he was right on top o f me where i was content to glass fields and drink hot coffee but dang it he kept gobbling. Set up called he boomed right over me but went other way w real hens. Oh well it's a long season and will come back next week when warmer.

Bud called and said let's go fishing so off again. Wind howled all day yesterday w gusts ip to 30 mph and now we had TM so thought we would really get em but not really. I caught 4 crappie and couple good bass but my fishing guru bed had no crappie just sm bass and 3 big bg.

Went back to where he could side shoot well and hook3d into 2 lber on first and ended up w 6 good ones. Of course he shortstopped me as only one good hole but that's OK.

Then his buddies started texting him w news of MUSHROOMS and he forgot all about fishing.

Oh well I was worn out keeping up w him so trapsed around with him for while then went to clean my fish and collapse.

That biggest one was 13 inches and l.34 lbs. Not too bad.Name: 20220419_170925.jpg

nice thing is have a great cabin with a wood stove which keeps you toasty and dry. Plus so many wonderful friends up here and it's nice to not have the TV on tho we have a hotspot but use that for my computer to ketch up with my CDC world and what's happening.

IF it's nasty out I just get comfortable and hang out. Turkey season is 3 weeks and you simply wait till things are better to get after them
