Jigs around deep brush or night stalking. Best bet is right after daylight, watch for minnows and shad breaking the surface and cast to them.
Since the temps are in the 80's, what time of day or night do you all pick up more feeding fish?
What are your conclusions crappie when it is summer time and high water temps?
We went last Friday and fished from 5 - til dark and saw tons of fish on the fish finder, but on a couple hits (1 keeper and 4 shorts). Fish were suspended 17' - 30' down in 37' foot of water around docks, or in 24' water in brush. Tried thill slip bobber and minnow at fishes depth (bobber could detect lift or pull down). Also tried jig and nibblet dropping to the bottom and reeling up extremely slow, paying attention to watch on the fall for slack line. Seemed to me that fish were tight-lipped because of the water temps. We do not have a hard time finding the fish, just getting them to jump in the live wells when the water temps get hot. So any advice or insight would be appreciative.

My best bite this time of year is daylight until 9 or so...dont overlook shallow structure early in the day you'll find the fish will be a bit more active and feeding.
