Now that's a different kind of day. First getting limits of good sized crappie and then trolling and ketchn big paddlefish? GFY
Three of us fished the Niangua this past Tuesday and Wednesday and smoked them. They were half way back in the coves and tucked up under docks a good ways. Had to be able to shoot a jig a pretty good distance to reach them. The average size was great. We kept 45 each day and very few were less than 10". Lots of 11-11.5". They were mostly white crappie too. Colors didn't matter as long as you could reach them. We also took a little bit of time to troll for paddlefish and caught three of those. Two were around 30lbs and one around 50lbs.

How do you troll for Missouri marlin? You mean snagged right?
Looks like all had a good time. Thanks for sharing

Yes we snagged them. Trolling just means we used the boat to pull the hooks through the water instead of casting, reeling and yanking.
To be more specific we were running a dipsy diver on the end instead of lead with three hooks spaced 1', 6' and 12' above the diver on the line. I run line counter reels, 100lbs braid and troll around between 4-5mph. The divers will run about a foot deep for every three foot of line I let out. The fish were showing up on the graph in the 30-40' range so I was running 120' of line in this instance to target the fish in that depth range. This method allows you to cover water quicker and it's far less work than traditional snagging where you are constantly yanking on the rod and using 16-24oz to stay on the bottom.
