Three of us fished the Niangua this past Tuesday and Wednesday and smoked them. They were half way back in the coves and tucked up under docks a good ways. Had to be able to shoot a jig a pretty good distance to reach them. The average size was great. We kept 45 each day and very few were less than 10". Lots of 11-11.5". They were mostly white crappie too. Colors didn't matter as long as you could reach them. We also took a little bit of time to troll for paddlefish and caught three of those. Two were around 30lbs and one around 50lbs.
