I Know It`s Early

Trying to plan ahead as last spring I could not make it to the get together. Any one have an idea if there is going to be one this year? I have never fished in Missouri before and really want to make the trip this year.

I think it's fair to say that there will be SOME kind of gatherings going on May 6th-8th. Not sure if it will be a full-on event again (since nobody has discussed it yet) but no reason to think it wouldn't be. As Speck said, it's always that first weekend in May. Fishing is always good at that time of the year. Weather is always bad. Or....almost always! "Unpredictable" at least!

If nothing else, Bill and I should be down there from Wednesday the 4th through the morning of Sunday the 8th....unless we go even earlier.

If I can make it this year I am planning on 7-9 days. Hopefully Mother Nature agrees farming is totally unpredictable when it comes to spring time. Knowing it is always the first weekend in May at least I can try and plan for that time frame.......Hopefully.

It's always a great time with the CDC crew. So good to put faces and hear folks voices with their handle. Planning on spending few days myself.

Another dumb question is the Bucksaw Marina next to the the campgrounds for the CCGT, as much digging around logistics as to where everything is located is very lacking.

Yes, Bucksaw is just down the road from the campground. Pretty close by

Thanks since they are closed been waiting on a return phone call about booking a cabin during that time frame. It is a little weird as up here even if the resort is closed the owners still answer the phone instead of using just a call answer person to forward a message..

@Bricks: Sorry about that!! Speck even said it was the first weekend in May, and I still didn't catch it that the "first weekend" is technically April 29th, 30th and Sunday May 1st.

Leastways, that's how we did it in 2016, the last time we had the same schedule!!
