Thread: Turkey Hunting extended Wkend That I should have spent Fishing the whole time

Took off work last Friday and Yesterday to have an extra long weekend to hunt turkeys. My best buddy/fishing partner and I went hunting Friday morning with no luck and then went to Gravois and caught a few in the time we had. Saturday and Sunday I hunted hard and wished the whole time I was fishing because the hunting sucked. Yesterday on my final weekend hunting day I gave up early because guess what,.... the hunting still sucked. I got home early and wanted to fish but didn't really want to go alone. So I sat in my chair and used the nobody wants to go with me excuse to sit and be lazy for and hour or so until my wife asked me to take her grandfather with me since he hasn't got a chance to crappie fish in years. So I picked up papa and and we had a blast. Only brought home twenty keepers but threw that many or more shorties back. Throwing corks on rock banks.. Was a great day
