LOZ trip in a few days
First trip to the lake planned for this weekend 12mm main lake. I'm guessing the water is muddy, any crappie reports? I will update Sunday.

I wouldn't think the main lake will be too muddy. Lots of fish out in the open suspended towards the back of creeks. At least the places I've been in the Gravois arm. I might try the main lake a bit this weekend. Haven't got over to lick branch yet this year.
I wanna feel the THUMP!

How was the LOZ trip? I struggled this weekend, only caught small fish... Wind was a nightmare most of the time

I fished LOTO this weekend on the Niangua arm. I caught fish from 8-25 FOW, 4-18 feet down. I focused on brush piles. That's why the water numbers are all over the place. I caught lots of small fish, but I caught some decent 11-12" fish, too. I had luck on a Bobby Garland Chartreuse and Black baby shad with a 1/8oz jig head. I caught some vertical jigging, but they bit really well pitching into the pile with a weedless jig and working it through the pile. Water clarity was so so, but better than I expected. If the rain holds off this week, the water should clear right up very soon. I expect fish will start to transition to shallower water for the spawn over the next few weeks.
