Plenty of crappie to be had at Truman without a Scope.

I saw on Facebook a month or two ago a new (?) crappie trail that seems to be more Missouri based. Seems like a more affordable trail and their schedule is all Missouri lakes which is nice. I've been keeping an eye on that to see if it takes off or gains popularity. The page seems stagnate lately and I can't find any info on this trail besides facebook. They have some funny rules, for example they have 1 pole and 8 pole tournaments but no live bait allowed. To get to the point I guess I was just wondering if anyone knew of this trail or are apart of it and know if it's going to be a real deal? Their first tournament is scheduled at Truman, which I won't fish that one because I don't have live scope, but I'm seriously interested in other tournaments if this particular trail takes off. Let me know if you know any more than I do.

Well sure there are but I wouldn't put my money up against some of the live scopers from Truman..... I know I can't win there is all I was getting at.

why in the world would you let a piece of electronics influence your decision to fish a tournament on a lake, the guys that have the livescope fish other lakes and will surely take the live scope with them. so what up with that. seems there was a man who fished the big tournament in Mississippi and one using one pole. beat all them spider riggers. so heck go for it. have fun, learn things. you will find a lot of great crappie fishermen at these tournaments. and almost all are willing to help a newby. go for it;
Just look at some of mike bakers videos of "Trumans best".... Those guys are good with the scope on that lake. I don't know that lake well and know I can't compete there. That's my own decision. Now on my home lake I know a little more and feel like I can compete. Until someone else starts paying for my entry fees I'm not going to give someone a couple hundred $ to kick my ass. Beagle if you want to pay it for me I'll go and learn Just not confident yet.

You don't and never will know if you don't try! I'm sure plenty of guys here could point you in the right direction. Some days you win them and others, you just fish and enjoy the outdoors.
I don't think you guys understand what I'm saying. I'm more than willing to go and fish Truman to "enjoy the outdoors".... I want to go spider rig there before too long. I'm just not willing to spend hundreds on a but kicking. Not yet at least..

I could lose a tourney on any lake, scope or no scope.
