Hey I do understand, if I had $200 to burn I would put it towards a guide that will teach you a lot in just one session if the guide is worth their salt.

I don't imagine that you will have a lot of competition from the big sticks with everyone taking off from Shawnee Bend ramp.

Those “Truman’s Best” in Bakers videos were Truman’s best before LiveScope was even heard of. Even having the best electronics from every major brand on a boat would not make it any easier to beat some of the sticks that will be fishing the Truman tournament. Their time on the water is something that can’t be taken lightly. Save that money from entry fees and stick it in the gas tank of the boat and truck and get out on the water. Time on the water not a LiveScope is what it takes to be able to compete in these tournaments.

A fisherman that has learned and understands Live Scope, has the unit tweaked, and is good at video games will eat your lunch fishing. I don't have one, don't
want one, because there is no competition between me and mother nature. I am out there fishing and catching fish. They are out there and fishing for
individual fish that are good enough to win tournaments. Tournament fishing is in the process of total change. I am going to keep fishing the way I always have
and only spending money on jigs or minnows. If I was a guide or tournament fisherman, I would not be without one.
    Tell'em I'll be there.

So I guess no one could answer my questions about the trail? Although some of it was good advise, I never get my questions actually answered on these threads... I'll stop posting.

Sammy, I guess your answer was not answered and I do not know anything about this start up trail. But don't bail on CDC forum over this, this site is full of useful information .

Yeah Grumpy is right, don't bail on CDC. I think the source of information you need should be found on the Facebook page itself. Usually the knowledge base on CDC far exceeds anything on FB. CDC gets pretty stagnate this time of year, I bet the FB page is the same. But now that football is over and hunting season is too plus warmer weather right around the corner, everything should perk up.
And don't forget Crappie Camp (Mo off topic page) at Bucksaw the first weekend in May.
None of us meant to hijack your post, we're just excited about the sport and want something to talk about and contribute to.

So whats the deal with Shawnee Bend? Lots of open water right there, Tons of lake in several directions too. Just too rough? I haven't used this ramp myself, just curious why a big stick would avoid it.
