Thank you for sharing! I need to give LOZ a second chance.
If you can catch crappie on Table rock or Bull Shoals it will appall you how much easier LOZ is. I fished 10-8 /10-11 caught well over 100 a day (keepers). I finally understand when people say they caught 3 or 4 limits (always thought people were a bit windy).
This is nearly impossible on TRL or Bull.
- point of the post try new water and don’t get sedentary on your home lake.
- Fished the Osage arm
- Docks were loaded didn’t matter depth or anything just side scan and you’ll find plenty
- Brush piles were loaded I found
Caught fish in 2 FOW on flats all the way to under a dock over 50fow.
Fish are smaller on LOZ I will say that average size was 9oz 10” long. Our biggest was a 1.4lb Black.

If we did what was most important in life there

Now you know why it is one of my favorites. Maybe not the biggest but almost without exception some action can be found. Thanks for posting.

Well my home lake is LOZ and your report is the reason why I never go anywhere else. Plus its huge you can spend a lifetime and not fish it all...
