Looking for any tips for Truman or the tailwaters (below the dam) for tomorrow (8/17). I am taking a buddy fishing and would love for him to be able to catch a good number of fish. I am willing to fish any arm or ramp on Truman or below Truman dam. I also have the option to spider rig or dip. I have fished all summer below the dam with good success but haven't fished there for a few weeks and saw they are decreasing water release. I have also fished out of Bucksaw with good success the last two weekends but the willows I have been fishing are now too shallow to hold decent fish. I also saw they are running two tournaments out of Bucksaw this weekend so I expect it will be fairly busy. Any reports, hints, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated so I can give my buddy a good first fishing experience!
Middle to the back of creek arms, 5 to 20 feet of water, 7 to 9 feet down. Hit every stick up. Should catch lots of fish, except for the tournaments. All ramps will be busy. Good Luck. Windsor Crossing probably best bet to stay out of tournaments way.
