I hope they warm up by this weekend. My son and his family are coming down from northern Illinois and I want to take him to Truman Saturday to catch some crappies. Keep us posted on how, where, and with what??

slow the crappie are ready to pop on the rock James River arm and Flat Creek arm they are staged 40ft. off the banks and tight liped caught a few on the bank fat and full of eggs water tuesday was 56dg. most every where water was clear down to 10ft. some small ones on black/chartruse,larger ones on blue/green slow trolled elec. motor, hit the trees,bluffs.and flats. not many but all were good size. going to Kings River today report later.

Talked to my brother today, and they bass fished yesterday at LOZ. Caught quite a few around the 8ft depth range. Said they talked to quite a few crappie fisherman and they all said the crappie bite was very slow. Hope they get going soon Im leaving tomorrow!!!
