    Default A Little Pond Fishing

I got home from work this afternoon and it was just too nice to go inside. I grabbed my ultralite and walked down to the pond. Pitching a tube jig under a float, I caught a small bass on my first cast. Two casts later yielded a nice blue gill. I shot a squirt of Slab Sauce on the jig and made a couple casts under some willows that were hanging over the water. BAM!!! A 12 inch Crappie slammed it. Tried to get a pic be it was camera shy. Caught a couple more blue gills then they got wise to my bait. All fish returned to the pond to be caught another day. Sometimes I just need an evening like that to unwind a little. Hybrid magnolia Crappie. Almost goldish in color and has the stripe down their nose

I love pond fishing. That is how I cut my teeth on fishing in my grandparents ponds.
