Tacklewarehouse.com has bandits on clearance right now for $4.49 in 57 colors. They’re sold out of some colors and sizes but there is a lot available. Good time to make a move on some of them.
Thanks MontanaBoy thanked you for this post

Mine are Southern Crappie Rods, 14'. Good price, good service, good rods. I have some Ozark dipping rods, 10'-12', like them real well.
That's a long rod for a kid (or sometimes an old guy) to handle with a fish on it, they will get used to it. Takes practice. Could get exciting.
Great to see you getting the kids involved.
I'll smoke just about anything (in my smoker)
The fishing is always great. The catching varies.

Go straight to 14's and save some money. I bought four Southern 16ft rods and like them, well after I swung a few fish over my head I did anyway.

This sale ended at Christmas but for the Crappie.com guys I will fix you up for another week or so on the combos at this price. If you come in or call tell them you are part of Crappie.com and are wanting the combos for $44.99. If that don’t work ask for Jared and I will get you fixed up. 16 footers for sure. I have always been a Ozark man but after using Denalis on a trip with Rees Guide I am a believer, especially if you want to PUSH cranks or power troll. Pulling cranks the Ozarks are excellent but trolling with heavy weight or pushing cranks really take them to their limits IMO.

I can't speak about Ozark rods since I've never owned one, but the deal that Jared posted sounds great. If I was in the market I'd check it out. I own a couple of BPS Wally Marshal trolling rods and BnM pro staff trolling rods. All 14' in length. My only advice is to use two rods on your first rigging adventure. There will be tangles and frustration but you'll get the hang of it. Let us know how things turn out. Tight lines.

Ozarks, Souther Crappie, BnM, Jenko, they are all great rods. It really comes down to personal preference and budget. My first set was 12', then this last one was 14'. I feel the 14' is better. BUT if going with 14' I would definitely invest in a rod transport rack for the boat. Because they are a pain to break down. I made a rack to hang them on in my garage so I never had to break them down. They are 3 piece poles. The 12's are 2 piece and a lot easier to break down, but like I said I think that extra 2 feet out from the boat helps a lot.

I would talk to Jared at Everharts. He is 9/10 times the best deal around and can give you alot of advice on getting everything rigged up correctly. If you don't have much experience with it, it can be intimidating your first time out but it sure is fun when you get into them. As stated earlier in this post, I would only use 2-3 poles to start your first time out until you get the hang of everything. Nothing like getting into the trees you can't see and wrapping up 4 poles at once
