Good job! Sounds like a fun day!
Spent the day yesterday out on Pomme de Terre with Cousin Billy. We put in at Pittsburgh, and hit a few brush piles in the vicinity. The bite was pretty good using jigs on 32nd ounce heads in 16-18 FOW. Almost all of our fish were found suspended in 9-12 FOW Over brush. 2-2.5" Crappie Kickers (Buster Brown or Lemon Pie) were my weapon of choice. Cousin Billy found success with some 2.5" MO Magic grubs that I've been pouring here lately. Neither one of us are very familiar with the lake, so we decided to do a bit of exploring and headed off towards more of the main lake. We were able to locate a few brush piles along the way, but not every brush-pile was holding fish. Most of all of our fish were found in transition areas along steep Rock bluffy banks that lead to deeper water. Using our electronics, once we found a pile that held fish we were able to pull several decent ones out. Overall we ended the day with two limits, and a better knowledge of the lay of the land/lake. Not to mention some good fellowship as well.
Fish on!
