Whatever one it is, looks like it will remain that way. Where is your best mushroom spot?
These are questions if they told you they'd have to kill you.
just saying...maybe someone will PM you.
What's the best trolling motor only lake near Kansas City? Cabin fever is already setting in and I'm looking forward to a quiet day on the water this spring.

God bless Charlie Brewer and Bobby Garland.
I'm harmless, there will be as many fish when I leave as when I get there.
I have looked over the list at DNR etc. and didn't see any that spiked my interest. You are right in that it would be easy to over run a small lake if word got out it was hot. Guess I will just have to use a dart board to pick one and go. I make one such trip a year just for new scenery so I guess catching fish is a secondary objective which means I should have asked where will you not catch any fish :-)

Tried to send a message but didn’t go through. You might try Harrisonville City Lake on 58 hiway west of Pleasant Hill. It has a 10 horsepower limit but a lot of people pull a prop and fish their bass rigs. There is some petty good winter Crappie there.

I had assumed that Harrisonville got really busy when it was opened to the general public? I was there maybe 20 years ago and it is a nice looking lake.
I looked up rules for HCL. You must be a
Resident of Hvlle or Cass county and purchase the proper annual pass. Guests can be taken for a small charge. I personally do no fish it because my boat is too hard to trailer w/o the big motor.
My next suggestion would be Prague wildlife area west of Clinton. They have some really nice pits to fish. You have my phone number if you would like some other suggestions.

Last time I was there the "guard" said no gas motors, electric only, and told me to remove my prop. I had a 14' aluminum vee bottom with 10 HP motor & MotorGuide. You also have to buy a permit & boat sticker at H/ville city hall.
I didn't remove my prop and have not been back. Sold the little boat.
I'll smoke just about anything (in my smoker)
The fishing is always great. The catching varies.
augh if walleye would be good as a bonus and small motor lakes ok, Id be looking at a lake called showme... and Mozingo Lake north of KC.
no fish there though.
I guess if you want quiet going to a lake with no fish is an option :-)
One of the big problems with finding some place quiet is you also have to worry more about being the victim of some sort of crime. I didn't worry about it so much in the past but I guess I'm just not as adventurous as I was in my younger days. That is one of the few reasons I like Smithville. I buy a pass and assume anyone else who bought a pass is not up to no good.
