    Lost my crappie guide and fishing partner right before Christmas. Have been married 18 years. Lots if fishing in that time frame. I inherited his boat and all of his gear. Lake Ozark fishing will not be the same. First fishing of the year may be tough. Just feels different this year, can't quite get in the mood.

    Just know he would want you to carry on and would be right there if he could. You were blessed to have a FIL that was a mentor and friend.

    Got to fish a bit with my father in law before he died. The stuff of his I still use just brings back good memories. Make sure you go he would want you to make good use of it.
