    Default Cat fishing slowing down at Smithville


    Thursday , put in North of W at the MECCA gravel boat ramp. Caught 9 , nice size channels, water was 49 degrees, little windy, chilly, fish didn't start biting until a little after 2 p.m. Brought X large minnows from 40 Woods bait shop in Blue Springs.Name: IMG_0468.jpg Views: 298 Size: 54.6 KBClick image for larger version.  Name: IMG_0460.jpg  Views: 358  Size: 44.9 KB  ID: 279886

    15-20 ft down, shad were 7.5-15 ft down.

    tried fishing for Crappie, too windy to hold the boat still, catfish came off of noodles, NOT poles.

    Nice job. Last time I ate catfish from the store it was nasty. Don't like any store bought fish.
