    Wapp has a ton of crappie, caught 150 last trip I was there.

    There is something in the water that stops there growth at around 8 1/2 inches tho

    The problem with wapp is its getting old and silting in..it has too much fishing pressure...the food chain is out of balance..some environmental factors....and it's managed for flood control and not as a fishery. Largely in part because of the small percentage of the MDC budget that goes toward sustaining and improving fisheries of that type.

    It is a fertile lake and if they would introduce vegetation into it ...it would recover and become a first class fishery. Don't hold your breath.

    That was a joke about swimming out if you didn't get that.
