    Default Tough fishing t hill

Doing what I normally do and just not much happening unless u like drum. Actually got boat out which is rare as we hit our shore go to and me nothing buddy lots dinks. He did hook biggest crappie ever 15+ but rocks he was on made it hard and he lost it. Over weekend didn't catch crappie off brushpiles. Actually tried minnows as heard it was tough and they finally did get bites going Saturday evening for 6 keepers and several dinks. Bring on colder weather! Name: 20170923_192254.jpg

I fish Thomas Hill almost every weekend. I caught 7 out on the brush piles in 2.5 hours of fishing on 9/23 and then added another 5 from our dock in MAC's cove. I did not go fishing that evening, so I wasn't able to catch the limit, but there was 3.5 hours of fishing to catch 12 eating size fish.

I will note that I caught ALOT of 6-7 inch crappie last weekend which was abnormal.

    Where are you fishing at?

my place is in college mound so I just drive to hiway T put in and causeway and fish that area. often off of fishing pier, docks or off rocks. rarely put boat in water as do very well without it.

I went last Wednesday and caught over a dozen 3-6" crappie, I had to fish through the little ones to catch any big ones.

me and my buddy are there because our best bud worked at New Madrid plant and came up here hunting and fishing so we found and rehabbed an abandoned house. but now he doesn't come up anymore. Do you get out on AECI property on the pits?

I bet. that's where you can really have some fun, as the fishing pressure isn't much there. GFY.
