    Default Cooking crappie. You're favorite

Ok. We have been catching and eating ALOT of crappie. I don't think it is possible to be sick of fried crappie. But I am pretty dang tired of it.
So does anyone have a favorite recipe they like to do other than frying. But not smoking it either. I would try it. But the misses would say no to that.

Make a boat out of foil add bell peppers onions mushrooms some seasoning of your choice a couple pads of butter one tea spoon of lemon juice however many filets you want. Seal it up poke a couple small holes and either put it on the grill or in the oven for 45 minutes. Enjoy with side of you choice.
    Always a nice change

There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

    Make crappie tacos. Outstanding.
I'll smoke just about anything (in my smoker)
The fishing is always great. The catching varies.

On the home page is a recipe for crappie patties that sounds good. Have not tried yet.

that parmesean baked crappie recipe is new fav and you don't have the mess of frying and is healthier. Just put a few filets in a skillet in olive oil, add some minced garlic and onions, sautee for just a few minutes untill done and that's hard to beat and no mess.
