Nicely done! Glad old dogs can learn new tricks after all!
It was decided to head to the lake for some dock shooting. Arrived and I made sure the plug was inserted into the boat and tightened down. I also made sure Richard checked, or at least look at it, and we were off.
The first dock was very productive. Watch the line wiggle or go limp, then set the hook. Richard is still a lot better than I am, but I’m catching on. Fish finally fizzled out at that dock so we went to another. Seems like there was nothing there so let’ get to another. We each had our limits by noon. We were using Blue Ice, and thenThreadfin shad colors on number 4 jig heads. We’d shoot them in and let them sink down, reel a little slow, and let the lure sink again. Any little wiggle or limp line “set the hook”. Richard had to remind me about that a few times again. It was a very good day!!!!! And the proof is in the picture:
Wow very nice!!!!!
Had a good day out with Paul. We seen some strange behavior by one point though. The waves had pushed millions of these tiny bugs into a floating mat. Seen what looked like schools of carp sucking the water like they do. As I got close to a couple of the schools they would scatter I finally floated close enough to see the fish and it was catfish. Hundreds of fiddler sized channel cats in at least a dozen different schools sucking up those dead bugs. Looks like LOZ will have plenty of channel cats available next year. Paul is getting alot better at the dock shootn. If I can just get him to set the hook!
Look like all had a good time.

Nice!
Good job guys. Catching fish everyday at Pomme so no reason to head over there. Will be there for HOG Rally this weekend though. Keep up the good work.
Great post, wish we had some docks around here.
Nice job guys especially like the pic yesterday while I was at work keep them coming
That did it. Buying a couple shooting rods.
I'll smoke just about anything (in my smoker)
The fishing is always great. The catching varies.
