Default Baithead and ripnlips on LOZ

Tony talked me into going about the time I had the last fish cleaned. Wanted to make sure we had a slim idea of trolling crankbaits before next weekend at Mark Twain. Twisted my arm but off we went. Started out really putting the hurt on Tony, then kitty kitty big kitty takes my new favorite lure away from me and leaves me hanging. Rule no 300 never just buy one crankbait cause you will lose it when it matters. After that it was oh I have another one for you to take off my lure cause I am the captain. Well time and again I take his fish off cause I am just a nice person, then I find another favorite lure and catch up. Ended up with plenty to clean and a fun day and I get to start looking for the cranks that I lost. Really hard to complain about a good day fishing with a good friend.Name: IMG_2231.jpg

    Good day
I'll smoke just about anything (in my smoker)
The fishing is always great. The catching varies.

The one I was pushing with a 2 oz weight at 1.4 mph line counter said 24 ft. so I am guessing 18 ft or so. The one I was pulling with just a long cast and let line off spool I am thinking 75-90 ft. back. Shiny shad patterns did the best. Shad balls were in the 15-20 ft. range a few times when we would go shallow I would start tikin bottom around 18 ft. One weird thing was we marked alot of fish in the 12 ft. range but never caught one that shallow. They all came from at least 25 ft. Except for the kitty fish.
