At least you got out and wet a line!
At least you got out and wet a line!
When you get my age you can go anytime you feel good (retired ) for the last 8 years, thumps felt good but after awhile your wondering where are all the keeper's, use to catch quite a few, had some area's close to 107 that use to produce, not anymore. Still was nice to be out.
I Don't Know,but I can always use help
Mongo you were out on water, that is always good thing. Looks like quite a few of us retired guys along 141 area. we should all get together and go fishing or fry up some crappie.

Sounds like a plan, always looking for someone to go fishing with, wife goes a lot butttttttttttttttttt, she doesn't help, once in a while would prefer someone that can help. As you can see by my post I'm not on here a lot, been a member since 2010. Some nice people on CDC
I Don't Know, but I can always use helpSlab thanked you for this post
Sounds GOOD! mongo, you need to check in more often!
Hey Mongo,
Twain is an hour and 15 minutes from the house.I used to fish it a lot.Still occasionally go there. The fishery seems to be fairly cyclic as we'll get 1 or 2 years of descent fish and 3 or 4 years of dinks. I am not knocking it , just my opinion .Have spent a lot of days enjoying wetting a line there in past years. It does get considerable pressure.
Some areas of the lake historically produce mainly short fish.Shoot me a PM and I'll recommend my favorite areas.

I'm heading to twain either this afternoon or early tomorrow. What were you catching them on? Minnows, jigs,????? Tomorrow I'm sort of pre-fishing for the Fishing for Freedom tournament next weekend. I don't know if my partner and I are doing crappie or bass, whichever he's most comfortable with. Me, I go for the crappie when I can.
Also, are any of the ramps closed/without courtesy docks?
