Great report!!
What depth were you finding them? Jigs or minnows?
Where about on the lake?
I'm thinking of heading that way in the morning around the 3mm.
First time poster, long time lurker but thought I would start posting my adventures.
Buddy and I headed down after work from JC and on the water by 5:30. I was worried the cooler weather would turn the crappie off but boy was I wrong. Limited out in about 2.5 hrs. Lots of good size crappie and a few hybrids. Buddy struggled and only caught 5, wasn't holding his mouth right I guess, but the fish he did hook were 12-14 inches.
We headed back to the dock to clean fish and my buddy threw his jig in one more time a pulled out a 5 lb blue cat.
First year I've hit the crappie hard at the Lake and its really been a rewarding spring. Sorry, didn't take any pics.

A gun, like any other source of power, is a force for either good or evil, being neither in itself, but dependent upon those who possess it
From an old movie I saw
Welcome and good job catching.

There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.
Welcome and thanks for the good report.
Welcome and nice job on the catch.

If we did what was most important in life there
would be a shortage of Bibles.................and fishing poles
