    Default Table Rock

Anyone been fishing the rock for crappie? I'm headed to Kimberling City next weekend, any reports?

Have been catching good numbers for several weeks. Pushing minnows in deeper water of creek channel (find the schools of baitfish). Last Wednesday the water temp was still 48-50, but a much warmer week is forecast. Wouldn't be surprised to see the fish move some.

Thanks for the info. I've been seeing water temperatures 57-59 on this website I use to check, I've been wondering about their accuracy. It seems a little early for temps like that to me. Your 48-50 sounds a lot more accurate. Do you have a website or app you use for lake water temperatures?

Will do. Do you fish the same area? I typically put in at Baxter and fish Indian Creek or Aunts Creek. And my brother in law has a house in Lampe.

I fished table rock this weekend. Saw water temps as warm as 60 on Sunday. Fished deep trees for 3 hours without a bite, used jigs, minnows, jigs tipped with minnows. Read reports of guys catching them on the trees but I wasn't one of those guys. Went shallow with a bobber and minnow and started picking up a few here and there. Was slow for me but managed a few.

Well not much to report, weather Saturday was terrible, rain and thunderstorms, high winds. Put in at Baxter at 3pm, my older son caught 1 small mouth, younger son turned his knee sitting down so had to lift him out of the boat at the courtesy dock. My new Yamaha 4 stroke ran great, 20 mph with me, the boys and our gear. Then my wife's dad ends up in the hospital with breathing problems so we came home today. All of our kids were with us, played games, BBQ, laugh, had a good time otherwise. Sorry LSL Angler, not what you wanted to hear.
