Default Bummer. Ozarks shooting rod just broke.

Hope they do me right. Loading it up to shoot under swim dock and it snapped about 6" from the end.

If they don't you can trade it in to BPS and get a carbon lite for $65 starting on the 23rd. I like my 6' 6" med lite...just a thought

Take a look at a 6'6" ESP PowerLite rod ... Grizzly Jig has the best price.

When I broke my ESP 5'6" UL (operator error), I switched over to using my 6'6" ESP PowerLite for double duty (primary casting rod & dock shooting). Only differences I've seen is I have to shoot from a foot farther away & I don't have to use as much arm motion for a hookset

I'm sure they won't have a problem with you buying another one....

I have eight of their 14' rigging rods and break their tips all the time. Broke 3 out of 4 of the brand new ones, contacted the owner, he said he'd send me a set of new tips... I got one. Not buying anymore of their stuff. I need to make a decision to move to another rigging brand or buy this season's supply of new tips.

HEY GUYS ... if breakage is constantly at around the same spot on a brand of rod, then it's usually a bad batch of blanks or damage in transport. It happened to BnM a few years ago ... but, luckily the tips were replaced free to those that contacted Jack Wells (& not anyone else that answered the phone).

And if you are considering changing to a new brand ... check out Southern Crappie Rods ( Home - Southern Crappie Rods ) Quite a few members have purchased these rods, and I've yet to hear of any negative remarks. A 6' rod is the shortest they make, though.

If you're looking for a shorter rod, I'd give a look at ESP UL or PowerLite rods ( https://www.norsemenoutdoors.com/pro...gory/esp-rods/ ) BUT .... I'd purchase them from Grizzly Jig, as their prices are lower.
