Don't sound bad!
I have not been able to put my boat in the water for months due to family issues but I finally got out today. I wanted to get on the water to see if there were issues with boat, motor, batteries, whatever.. So the closest place I can do that is Gravois Mills.
I immediately had problems with trailer lights. Bottom line it was 10:00 AM before I got on the water. I launched and stopped only about 400 yards from the Gravois ramp and started to rig up. I put on a 1/16 oz head and with a chartruese body on a ultra light rod and reel and cast with the wind just to be sure there was no twists. The result... a 12" crappie. I cast again and caught a 11" crappie. 15 minutes later, after missing 3 or 4 hits, I switched to a 1/8 oz head tipped with a larger Yamamota yellow and white body. First cast a 12" crappie, 2'nd cast a 9" and after that the wind picked up and zilch.
The water there was 45.8 degrees, I ran to the back of Indian creek and the water there was only 43 in 9' of water. 4 fish and I am happy... it doesn't take much to make you happy at the age of 72.
I'm thinking Truman on Monday...

Nice job
Thanks for the report. Going to try my luck here this morning on the Big Niangua.
@lozcrappie
Glad you got back out there Hank. Sounds like you have enough for dinner. Sometimes it takes a couple of trips to getting the boat all set up. Keep sending us those reports.
