Most of them were taken out of the brush piles and some off the rocks up by the bouys. If I remember correctly the water temp was around 62 but the bite never picked up till the afternoon
Nice!

I haven't noticed in my trips over there that the water temp made any difference. One particular day I caught fish around the bridge on the Stinking creek arm in 35 degree water, out in the main lake in 47 degree water, and up in the warm water arm where it was 60. That day there was skim ice above the Stinking Creek/Hwy T bridge.

Thanks guys, was just curious about temp's. since we havn't had our boat out but once in last year as fishing off the bank has been so productive. Glad you all had success and yes, this is not a lake that rewards early risers, bite usually is better in middle of the day for some reason. when we get up early we are usually just cold! It is a different lake for sure.
Fished off the jetty today from 9:30 to 3:00. Caught about 20 crappie but biggest was only about 10 inches. Also 5 bass from one to two pounds. Blk/chart and blue/white jigs four to eight feet under a slip bobber. Great day to be to be out doors.
To the early riser's hit the wipers in the morning and move over to crappie towards the afternoon. That has been my best luck on this lake. Fishing has been very good this year for both speices.Hope it continues thru the spring.

can't stand this warm weather and me not wetting line. heading up to my place tomorrow till saturday when the cold front moves in. have new rig setup to get me out where I know the brush piles are!
New BnM pole for dipping as you know I love to do with my 10 footer with a new pflueger president reel and new bobbers to reach out and getrdone! going to slip out to the hot spots. with a cold front moving in hopefully their will be room to get to the right spots.
just checked forecast 20 MPH winds! dang, it will make it interesting and temps are going down, not bluebird as I thought but wife oked me leaving so I'm going anyway.
that's what is nice about having a house a couple miles from where I fish on T hill. can go for a while, go home to rest up and change rods, tackle around then go back and have at it again.
