congrats on catching a few , that one in paul's right hand looks like a real good one . what kind of depth and what color were the best for you?
Had high hopes to find them today but they were pretty tight lipped did find enough to clean and have a good supper. Always a good time with Paul. My homemade lure retriever did a good job payed for itself first time out. Still learning and having fun. Paul seen alot of scenery today in skimpy attire only reason I know is I kept hearing Richard look over there. I guess end of summer weekend brings them out.

Remember no pics it didnt happen. Best color for me was my go to mad cow, second is one called canary. Seems they want shad color with a bit of yellow or chartreuse. We switched up quite often cause the bite was so slow they did not touch any of the wilder colors even the cats left them alone. Once again though lots of bass. We were running anywhere from 15 to 20 best quess once in awhile I would head for shallower water just to see when they would start ticking bottom.

Nice!
Got out and caught a few and got to see some nice " scenery "

It was real fun. And the scenery was all around. I think that could be a reason the fishing was slow. I'm ready for the next trip, as we stopped and picked up those chartreuse shad before Mr. Baker bought them all. My best colors where splatter back (Bandit) and a chrome and blue (Arkie). Probably tried 6 or 7 different colors, but you have mix it up if the biting is slow. Pulled those crank baits early and pushed them later. I enjoy either way. I think we are getting better each time we go. By the time we get where we think we know what we are doing it'll be time to spider rig. But there is no complaining when fishing with a best friend. And now I need to come up with one heck of a non-targeted species.

The smiles on your faces look like some gal in a bikini is taking your picture. You wouldn't have to use that lure retriever as much if you have been paying attention and not checking out the scenery. Sounds like a good time.
Very nice!!
