Congrats!!! Barrett's is a nice place for sure. I have found the crappie have been shallow all year. Try trolling flats in 7-12 feet of water fishing 2 feet deep. You will find some.
Some may remember me from last year asking about Wappapello Lake. I can now announce why. My family bought Barrett's Resort and Marina. Talk about a huge change with a learning curve in fishing. Fishing out here is a lot different than when I was in Colorado. At least for me. I now own a boat that I can fish from so I'm trying to learn that plus the regulations that are a lot different than Colorado. Now if I can figure out the Crappie. I'm doing pretty good on the Bass and Catfish.
If you're ever at Wappapello stop by Barrett's and say Hi. I'm Trevor.

Welcome to Wappapello and good luck
When we head your way we will stop in. Hope you have a good time.
winter fishing there can be good .
Thank you everyone. Before the water came up I was marking fish in the river channel more than any where. Granted I wasn't fishing but running up the lake.
Great resort, one of the last ones to be there. My family owned one in the 70's just up the road from you but all of them have folded.I spent half my life fishing and working off those docks. They did drop trees to the right of the last dock on the right about 100 feet from the bank. Crappie fishing in the winter off the docks used to be good. I have not been down there in years to know if it has changed.
