Won't hear this much but you the man Joe!
My son and I pulled cranks for a few hours this morning and got into a few. Nothing huge, just good eaters. Found a nice stretch of water between two shallow (5-6) areas where the bottom dropped to about 10' and weeds coming up to about 7'. Ran the cranks right above those weeds and usually catch a fish. Got one cat, one tiny bass and one bluegill, also.
I did the "two 5-gallon bucket" thing to slow our troll to 1.4-1.6 and it really worked out well, so thanks to Speck for that advice. Cheaper than a trolling plate!
Blue and Chrome was the only bait I had on. Nick had some blue/chart/white thing.
Weather was great!
Mark it down on the fishing journal, congrats.
Good job Joe. I am guessing this was at Smithville.

Feel the thump, hear the drag.
"GET IT IN THE BOAT"
Good report and pic. Congrats Joe. Did you get any of them in the buckets?
Great job Joe, wtg getting it figured out. If you ever want to drift with the wind those buckets can help as well to vary your speed. Monty carries one but for a different reason.
