    No treetops today.

Fished up Little Platte arm around Arnold Road/220th free ramp.

Water temp was 84-85 and DIRTY. Not the worst I've ever seen it, but worse than I thought it would be. Couldn't see a jig 6-8" down. Still, as many trees as I dipped, you'd think I'd have knocked at least one on the head!

Saw new brush piles and they had at least been in long enough to attract those big bulbous growths that are supposed to indicate good water. Thought the brush would be holding fish but no.

Fished 15' water to 3' water. Fished from the bottom to practically the surface. Nothing.

Used 1/16 oz orange head jig with a 3" Bobby Garland black and chartreuse tail. And that was it at first, but when I got no bites after a while, I tipped with a minnow. STILL no bites.

Sounds like you gave it a heck of a try Joe. Last time I was out a couple of weeks ago it was skunk for me too.

Been there, done that. They don't have a tee shirt.
    It'll get better.
I'll smoke just about anything (in my smoker)
The fishing is always great. The catching varies.

Joedog, brushman said "early bird gets the worm". Sounds like you were a couple hours late. 😜
